This in-depth PPC industry benchmarks campaign analyzed over 50000 accounts using the Acquisio platform, with and without machine learning intervention. Using the results of the analysis we created an annual benchmarking campaign, with various supporting content assets, many of which were designed to and do rank on the first page of Google for desirable terms like “What is a Good CTR?”

Goals of the Project
Create the first comprehensive PPC dataset by vertical, that would allow PPC marketers globally to benchmark their performance
Add machine learning intervention into the PPC conversation, positioning Acquisio as a leader in this emerging field of technology
To rank in Google for key phrases related to the campaign
Results
Two of the pieces of content that were created for this campaign rank on the first page of Google for hundreds of related key phrases, a sample of which is shared here.*
Backlink outreach included mentions from key media outlets like Marketing Profs. Through content projects like these, I established organic as the largest acquisition channel for Acquisio in 2018 and 2019. This accounted for 33% of new revenue and was a 5x ROI for the company.
*Google search engine results pages fluctuate frequently on a regional basis. The rankings presented here were measured in October 2020.
